In case anyone is keeping track

Signals

I want to lean into the real-time aspect of dugout. Instead of just adding static information to the map, you can send timely, instant notification to your teammates. Signals let you quickly add a small symbol next to your screen name that is instantly shared with everyone. I imagine this being useful for something like a ready check.

Marker Notes

A marker one the map by itself does not contain a huge amount of information. If you want to say more, you can now add a paragraph or so of notes. Maybe it's an attack strategy, building instructions or a haiku.

Artillery Tool

Added a tool to see artillery range and azimuth on the map. Its nice being able to do that when planning an op. I have also heard of people successfully hitting a target without a spotter using a similar tool (I don't recommend it).

My vision™ for the artillery tool as part of Dugout is to prevent the inevitable and frustrating miscommunication between spotter and gunner. "Add 2 degrees! Minus 1m range! Wait, whats your azimuth?! I thought you said 130" etc.

Instead, everyone can look at Dugout on their phone to read the range and azimuth. One person (probably the spotter) is in charge of updating the map to make sure it says the right thing. This does not replace voice communication, but makes it easier to make sure everyone is on the same page.

First Update

I added this page to keep track of updates. I know some people are keeping an eye on this app, waiting for it to have the feature they want. This page should help so you don't have to wonder what has changed.

Also, I added different color arrows to the map drawing menu. Instead of just the blue, there is now: blue, red, warden blue, colly green.

And finally, there is now a feedback form you can fill out if you have problems or want to suggest a feature. I would love to know what features you want to make this tool useful for you.
